Go from 0 to video with just a prompt — enabling anyone to go from idea to edited talking video, featuring actors that don’t exist. With this first-of-its-kind tool, it’s never been easier to turn text into professional-quality videos or ads. Prompt to Video is powered by Mirage, our groundbreaking video generation model.

What edits are applied to the video?

All elements of professional video storytelling are seamlessly combined into one cohesive experience:

A-Roll: A Mirage-generated actor addresses the camera directly, delivering your message with natural expression and movement.
B-Roll: Contextual images and videos are generated and thoughtfully incorporated to enhance your video and message.
Professional editing: Our model will then analyze the content and apply choice transitions, sound effects, music, zooms, cuts, and other edits.

The result is a fully produced and fully AI-generated talking video that’s engaging and polished — all from a single prompt.

How It Works

On the home screen, you can start by writing your video idea in the prompt field or importing a voiceover track.
Choose your language from the dropdown
Browse and select your actor or generate a new AI Twin
Choose an Edit style and custom color
Select media to be included in your video (optional)
Preview and select the voice for your actor (you can also generate a voice clone based on your own voice)
Tap Generate Video

After the video is done generating, you can open the video in the Captions editor to make adjustments to shot styles and edit your video before exporting.

Captions lets you turn a script or voice clip into a fully custom, actor-driven video. Here’s how to get started:

1. Add Your Script or Audio

You can either type your script or upload/record your own audio.

Write a script: Enter up to 30 seconds (or 1,000 characters) into the text field. Choose a language and one of our built-in voice options.
Upload audio: For more control, upload your own voice recording (audio or video file). Mirage will automatically extract and use the audio.
Record audio: Click Record to capture audio directly in Captions. Review and retake as needed before applying it to your project.

Your audio quality will affect the video. Try to record in a quiet space with a tone that matches the scene you’re going for.

2. Pick a Voice (if needed)

If you didn’t upload/record your own audio, choose a voice from our partners (like ElevenLabs or Google).
You can also trim the start or end of the audio to remove silences.

Make sure the voice matches your actor description. For example, don’t pair a deep male voice with a teen female actor unless you’re going for something unique.

3. Choose or Create an Actor

You have three options here:

Choose an already generated actor from the actors library

You can use the actors library to choose an already generated actor provided by Mirage.

Upload a reference image

Create an “AI Twin” of yourself or someone else (with permission).

Generate with a prompt

Describe the actor’s appearance, outfit, expression, and more. Mirage will generate a few options.

Actor Variant

If you want to generate a new look for an existing actor, you can use the New look option to create a new variant of your actor.

The original actor without any changes.

4. Review and Refine

Watch each actor’s full performance to see how well they bring your script to life.

Don’t love it? Try a reshoot or swap out certain segments with a different take.

You can also mix and match performances to build the final video.

5. Export Your Video

Once you’re happy with the result:

Download the video to share anywhere
Export as a .zip if you want all files, including audio
Reshoot all clips if you want to try a fresh version
Delete if it’s not something you want to keep

Are videos I generate with Mirage available for commercial use?

You retain full rights to all videos created. The AI-generated actors are completely virtual and free from licensing restrictions. You can read more in our Terms and Conditions.

What languages can I generate Prompt to Video projects in?

You can generate videos in 39 languages.

What is the size limit for uploading video or audio files?

Your video and audio files can be up to 100MB. (Desktop only)

What is the maximum character limit for audio prompts?

Your prompt can be 30 seconds or 1,000 characters. (Desktop only)

How long can each segment be?

Each segment can be up to 4 seconds. (Desktop only)

What is the maximum video length?

Your final video can be up to 30 seconds. (Desktop only)

Can I reshoot clips?

Yes! If you’re unhappy with any clips, you can click the regenerate button to see a fresh take using the same script and actor setting. (Desktop only)

How can I organize my projects?

You can use folders to manage and organize your projects better. Use the New Folder option to create a new folder. (Desktop only)
