You may be experiencing sign-in confusion or missing projects after logging in to Captions on desktop / web. This is expected during an ongoing transition to a new Captions web experience. Below is what’s happening and how to make sure you land in the right place.

What’s changing?

We’re actively building a new and improved Captions web experience at captions.ai. As part of this work, what was previously known as Mirage Studio has moved to captions.ai. During this transition period, the web experience is not yet apples to apples with the Captions desktop legacy product across every feature. Because of this, some sign-in paths may successfully log you in but not load your subscription, projects, or workflows.

I’m a Captions desktop user. What should I do?

If you use the Captions desktop product, nothing is changing for you right now. To access your projects, subscription, and the workflows you’re used to, please sign in here: https://desktop.captions.ai We recommend bookmarking this link to ensure you land in the correct experience.

Is the desktop product going away?

No. Your existing Captions desktop experience is not going anywhere. We will not remove or sunset the desktop product until:
  • The new web experience is fully built
  • It matches and exceeds the current desktop functionality

What’s coming next?

Over the next few months, we’ll be:
  • Rolling out features that match and then exceed the current desktop experience
  • Expanding the Captions web experience with more power and flexibility
As part of this evolution, there will also be changes to plans, credits, and upgrades. We’ll communicate these clearly and in advance so there are no surprises.
